A new chapter for artists is coming, but not in the way you think. Let's dive in!

Jan 07, 2026

Happy New Year!

At least for those who follow the Gregorian calendar. Probably the biggest proof that time is made up. Because someone decided at some point to divide time and name it in a certain way. And then with the Industrial Revolution, the modern-day workday was born. And suddenly we stopped listening to our own body, our own rhythm and started following someone else's. Like cogs in the machine.

But all of that is shifting.

That's probably why everything feels like it's happening at warp speed. Maybe it is, but maybe it isn't. Maybe it's just a recalibration so we are all forced to go back to ourselves, our inner truth, our own power or literally bust.

What I've learned in 2025 is that we cannot change the world, before aligning ourselves with our inner truth. We cannot expect change to come from the top. We cannot expect change to come from the outside. We cannot expect the world to change if we don't change first within everything that stops us from greatness. We are all great. We are all unique. And again, I will keep dying on this hill, there's space for each and every one of us to be successful. Whatever that means to you (don't seek someone else's definition).

For the longest time I thought success was recognition and money. But once I had that I realized success isn't an end all be all. It grows and shifts with us. Thankfully. Otherwise it would be boring if it didn't.

After - what I considered - a burnout writing on a record-breaking show WHILE writing two feature films (one is premiering this year, the other one is hopefully shooting this year) - two thoughts keep percolating in my brain:

1) with all the contractions happening and the industry in turmoil, why is a small group of us getting all the work? Spoiler alert: yes I have the answer to this.

2) turmoil is the best time for new rules to be rewritten. Isn't it time artists take lead? Isn't it time we rebuild artistic industries that benefit us? Without us there are no industries. Yes, even with AI. Possibly even more so because of AI.

That's when I decided to bridge the gap between business and art, self-worth and financial freedom.

2025 was a year I went back to my inner truth. I'm an Aquarian. My chart is heavily Aquarius. Revolutionary. Thinking of ways to help the collective. Building movements that benefit all not just some. It's in my nature.

So I started analyzing why so many people start and so little "make-it". What did I do differently that worked? And does that correlate with the actions of other "successful" artists in the industry?

That's when I realized that being an artist without business skills is not a flex. Feeling shame and guilt around capitalism as an artist is exactly how they manage to suppress the artistic class from ascending and making the world a better place. We're visionaries, we're healers, we're empaths, we're sensitive to the human experience, we feel for others.

Art comes before science, technology and even religion.

If an artist does not output their art, it cannot be discovered. It cannot be replicated. It cannot be experienced, ever, by anyone.

Art is - in my opinion - the closest manifestation of source, divinity, universe that humans have on planet earth. No wonder we've been fed the struggling artist lie for as long as we have. It's time to take our power back.

But I digress.

Back to success. And business. And refuting all the outdated narratives we've been fed.

My new definition of success is now to create a space, a room, for artists to close the gap that keeps us from standing up for ourselves when opportunities come; keeps us from making the money we actually deserve; keeps us in competition with each other when there is no competition to begin with. We're not meant to go on this journey alone.

Story time: When we unexpectedly received a grant from the Bavaria Film Studio over a decade ago, fresh off the plane and zero German language skills to my name, we were given an office at the Bavaria Film Center, where many new production companies co-existed. Out of the maybe 30 offices (I don't remember the exact number) we were the only ones, I kid you not, to keep our doors open. We naively thought that if we could all network and support each other, we could get funding much easier since we were technically competing with the more established deep-in-the-system prod-cos for the same cash. My mentality has always been: the collective. The 18-months we spent in the center? Not a single person came through our door. Nobody else had their doors open.

Over a decade later and most of them have since disappeared from the film and tv industry. Not a coincidence and a perfect example of the old way of operating.

The new way will be empowered individuals who support each other without erasing their identity or fearing they won't achieve their inevitable success.

That is why I'm launching a membership on January 21st. A room for artists (primarily in film and tv) ready for a new chapter. A room where we will close the art and business gap so you not only survive the industry, but thrive in it. A room where your emotions have a place, but so does your business.

I've got a blueprint.

But the magic will come when you take the blueprint and blend it with your unique reality and make it your own.

No more waiting to be chosen, nor waiting for permission.

The change begins with us. Not with them.

Are you ready?

This is our time.

Together we rise!
