I'm in the Phoenix area for a limited time, and thought it would be great to offer a free in-person masterclass on how to build a successful career, what really moves the needle when building inside or outside the system, answer all your burning questions, and share my story of how I built a successful screenwriting career the traditional way (studio system) with 0 contacts, no film school and having never written a full length script prior, to working on top global hit shows of the past 5 years, and excited for my original Amazon Studio movie to come out this year on Prime. And yes I'm still currently under contract for development deals working on movies and tv shows. All I had back when I started was what you already have: tenacity, passion and an understanding that my self-worth had nothing to do with my career and productivity. So I got organized and treated my career like a business and within 18 months I got a grant, produced and wrote an award-winning short, sold a feature without ever having written a feature, within 2 years went to grad school in Europe (muuuuuch cheaper), got a manager while in grad school, worked in development and within 5 years got my first major credit on Netflix.

People say there's no formula to making it, but I believe there is. And I believe there's space for all of us to win. Why? Firstly, I'm not interested in gatekeeping; power to the collective. Secondly, we can only make the industry more artist friendly when we - artists- lead. This is why I'm sharing what I've learned so you can rise to the top and we can collectively be the change we desire.
